The Foundation for Children of Eger Suffering from Leukaemia;
Immune-Deficiency and Malignant Tumours

 

Dear Readers,

Our foundation was formed in 1999 to support not only the children suffering from Leukaemia, Immune Deficiency and Malignant Tumours but also help their families to solve the difficulties they have to face. There are 33 members in our foundation together with the children, their parents, their brothers and sisters and their parents in the area of Eger, Heves County, Hungary. We, the parents, do believe that their recovery depends on their circumstances, their way of life and their mental and physical well-being. We struggle to see them happy and educate them to be equal members of society.

We try to reach our aims by competitions; so far we

  • created a gambling house for children not being allowed to go to kindergarten, providing also a qualified staff to look after them,
  • have tried to support them with the necessary vitamins,
  • have organised them excursions to get away from the isolated world they live in,
  • have offered them the possibility of horse-riding and swimming,
  • have celebrated different events together: Children’s Day; Santa Claus; Fancy-Dress Party; Summer Festival,
  • have given them financial help to buy books at the beginning of the school-year,
  • have bought a computer to be able to write the competitions more successfully.

 

Our foundation is open, our aim is to give help all the families having the same problems.

We feel and know that it is easier together.
